Photographer "Patrick M." captured what became known as the Petit-Rechain photograph, depicting a triangular object with three white lights and a central red light. The photograph was studied by the Belgian Royal Military Academy. In 2011 the photographer admitted the original photo was fabricated, but it remains historically significant.
